COACHING FOR AA, SSR, MR ENTRIES IN NAVY

Sailors in Indian Navy are main workforce in Indian Navy. Sailors in Indian Naval Ships and on bases are trained to do work depending upon their trade, in which they got enlisted.

Various Branches in Indian Navy can broadly classified in four categories:-

  1. Artificer Apprentice (AA): - This trade of Indian Navy mainly deals with technical aspects of Ships such as Electrical, Engineering, and Communications etc. This Branch is also known as X Group,(All the sailors have been divided into two group viz 'X' and 'Y'. Artificer Apprentices fall under 'X' group and rest of the sailors in ‘Y’ group).They get more pay and also have fast promotion as compared of ‘Y’ group.
  2. Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR): - This Trade sailors can get wide range of sub branches such as, Gunner, Survey Recorder,Diver,Instructor,PhysicalTrainer,Stores, Writer etc.
  1. Matric Recruit and Non Matric Recruit (MR & NMR): - Sailors of this trade majorly belongs to Logistics branch of Indian Navy.
    1. Matric Recruits : - Stewards and Cooks
    2. Non Matric Recruit : - Topass

The Indian Navy conducts the recruitment exam for the appointment of eligible candidates in the Indian Navy Sailor and Artificer Apprentice Sailors positions respectively. Every year a lot of candidates participate in the concerned recruitment exam to get appointed in the concerned positions. The main exams that are included under the Artificer Apprentice Recruitment are – Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Standard Examinations respectively.

Eligibility & Examination Detail

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

  • Unmarried Male Indian Citizens and subjects of Nepal and Bhutan.
  • Educational Qualifications: Qualified in 10+2/ equivalent examination with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer science.
  • Age: (17 to 21 for SSR) & (17 to 20 for AA)

SELECTION CRITERIA

Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations. Exams are generally conducted twice a year in the months of March and September. On line forms are filled in December and June

DETAILS

a) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi &English) and objective type.
(b)The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
(c) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in.
(d) Duration of question paper will be of one hour.
(e) The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.  
PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (UthakBaithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT
will do so at their own risk.  
(a)Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as premedical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
(b)Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.
(c)Good mental, medical and physical health free from any disease/ disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. Colour perception: CP II.
(d) No Cardio- vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.
(e) Medical standard should be as per the detailed guidelines issued by IHQ MoD

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Fee will be paid maximum in two instalments. Atleast 70% fee to be paid at the time of admission and balance 30% within 1 to 2 months from start of the course.
  2. Fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstance.
  3. Filling in of exam application forms and their submission to the exam conducting authority will be the responsibility of student himself.
  4. Student will be responsible for his physical, medical and educational eligibility for a particular course before taking admission. No fee in full or part will be refunded once the student has taken admission in the academy.
  5. Change in address and contact No if any to be notified to the office immediately on occurrence.
  6. Student enrolled with DDA will provide his entrance examination roll number to office immediately on receipt of his admit card from the exam conducting authority.
  7. DDA reserves its right to make any alteration in its program/fees without any prior notice to anybody.
  8. Students will follow all rules, regulations and instructions of the institute and will stay within its discipline parameters.
  9. Student found involved in any indiscipline or misconduct will be expelled from the academy without any notice or refund of fee.
  10. DDA guides, coaches and trains the students for defence forces’ entries but does not promise or guarantee the jobs.
